Modern Renaissance Makeup Look

The eye shadow palette everyone and anyone has been talking about lately is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance. I managed to get my hands on it a couple of months ago but if I'm honest it has just been sat on my dressing table and has barely been used. I don't know if this is due to it being so hyped up or just simply because I've been more excited about other palettes I own.  Either way I am so glad I finally picked it up and started playing around with it as the colours are absolutely gorgeous and the formula is so blendable and pigmented.

I knew I wanted to play around with the pinkier tones within the palette but also didn't want to go extremely bold as I've been loving the less is more look (although I'm not sure if it ended up as a more is more look but..).  The look focussed more on the warm browns in the palette for the crease and lower lash line but I added a pop of pink with Love Letter into the crease and outer V. On the lid I went for the Vermeer, which is the more pink toned shimmer and used this with Mac fix plus to create a half cut crease. I finished off the eyes with some trusty Rimmel liquid liner for the sharp ass wings, Loreal gel liner for the waterline, my favourite Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara and some fluttery Kiss lashes to enhance the winged eye look - I cut these lashes down slightly to have more emphasis on the outer corner.
The eye look:
In the upper crease - Golden Ochre
In the lower crease - Burnt Orange
Outer V area and a little through the crease - Love Letter
To darken up outer V - Red Ochre
On the lid - Vermeer
On the lower lashline - Burnt Orange and Love Letter

Recently I picked up the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation and wow, I absolutely love it. The coverage is medium but buildable and it doesn't look cakey when you build up the layers. Every other foundation I have used previously inlcuding my faithful Mac Studio Fix Fluid has never fully dried down on my skin so would start to come off throughout the day to reveal all of my imperfections. The matte and poreless dried down completely and didn't budge and so I only needed to powder my t-zone and set the areas I concealed.

For the rest of my skin I went for a understated contour and pink toned blush to complement the eye look,

The rest of my face products used:
