Confidence

Visiting home this weekend I sat with my sister scrolling through pages and pages of dresses on multiple fashion websites. The common theme on every website.. bodycon. Both of us make comments on items we love but every comment is accompanied by that familiar thought; 'I don't have the body for that'.

In the time that we live in it is such a common thought among many of us. One of the reasons I wanted to start my blog was to allow me to evolve as an individual and gain confidence in myself. During the short time that my blog has been up and running I have experienced so many thoughts of self doubt; 'No you can't do any fashion posts yet because you don't have the body, people won't like them', ‘You don’t have the amazing set up and confidence to pose in front of others so your photos won’t be good enough quality’. And what amazes me the most is that I believe those thoughts and in essence hold myself back.

We can all say that we love looking at blogs and Instagram accounts of established bloggers and appreciate the professionally taken photographs and amazing figures and poses of the individuals. But..
That doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy and appreciate content that doesn’t have all the fancy equipment and endorsed products. Why should we hold ourselves back with the fear that nobody will like good content no matter how it is presented?

Each person on earth has different likes, dislikes, interests and qualities. This is what makes us human. Stop believing that voice in your head and believe this.. Out there in the world somewhere someone will appreciate you and love everything you don’t like about yourself. And I can guarantee there will be a hell of a lot more people that support you than you think, all you have to do is believe and step outside of your comfort zone.

As I said earlier in my post, I’m not an established blogger – at this point my blog is two weeks old and I haven’t had any interaction from my readers. I would love for any of you to get in touch because my intention with my blog is to do something I enjoy and hopefully help and improve somebody’s day. So if anybody else feels the same as me or is in a similar position – or even if you just feel like talking to someone new - then comment or get in touch and we can support each other!

I hope you have an amazing day, do something out of the ordinary and believe you can succeed,
