Modern Renaissance Makeup Look

Image
The eye shadow palette everyone and anyone has been talking about lately is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance . I managed to get my hands on it a couple of months ago but if I'm honest it has just been sat on my dressing table and has barely been used. I don't know if this is due to it being so hyped up or just simply because I've been more excited about other palettes I own.  Either way I am so glad I finally picked it up and started playing around with it as the colours are absolutely gorgeous and the formula is so blendable and pigmented.   I knew I wanted to play around with the pinkier tones within the palette but also didn't want to go extremely bold as I've been loving the less is more look (although I'm not sure if it ended up as a more is more look but..).  The look focussed more on the warm browns in the palette for the crease and lower lash line but I added a pop of pink with Love Letter into the crease and outer V. On the lid ...

Shoe Picks

Shoes. I love them, in fact I think most women do. I would go as far a saying I'm a complete shoe addict, they just complete an outfit and let's be honest who can resist a good heel? Unfortunately for me I am on a no buy - more like minimal buy as I can't resist a little treat for myself -  I'm saving to move house but that doesn't mean I can't look around and create a wishlist. So I thought I would share my wishlist of shoes that are on trend from my two favourite places.. Missguided and Ego! Lace up shoes have been on trend for a while now and there is no sign of it disappearing anytime soon. I personally prefer my lace up shoes to be heeled as I think they make me look short when wearing a flat style so you will notice all of the shoes in this category reflect that (Although saying that, I think the majority of shoes in this post are heels!) By far my favourite pair are the black embroidered and I will most likely buy these, they would look great with ...

Lemon & Sugar Face Scrub

No matter the price tag or the claims of any foundation that 'flawless base' can only be achieved if the canvas underneath flawless. Now I don't know about you but my face is anything but flawless. I have so many breakouts it's like the himalayas have taken residence on my face, the dry patches and shiny areas swap places every week and I have such large pores and areas of texture I could give sandpaper a run for it's money. I don't claim to be an expert in anything skin care related, I have tested out a few products and have gone through phases of 'looking after my skin'. Most of the time I don't see a noticeable difference and go back to just washing my face with water and slathering on my trusty Nivea moisturiser. This time I want to try the natural route so I have done some research and come up with a new plan of action! 1. Drink water! Pretty self explanatory but I'm going to aim for at last 2 litres a day maybe 3 at a push.. 2. Healt...

My blog will be an extension of me and although I am going to talk about fashion, makeup and beauty and include my love of photography, it's also gonna document my journey through life. Being a 22 year old and a size 14 I have always had a massive lack of confidence. I have always wished that I could be confident and wear the clothes I want to wear - and most of all not care about what other people think. I had a chat with an amazing friend (you know who you are..) who told me that I need to learn to love myself as I am and allow myself to be happy and so here I go, I'm going to create the blog I've always wanted and share my journey with anyone who wants to join me! Outfit Details: Body suit - New Look Jacket - Primark Leather Skirt - F&F (yes I bloody love Tesco for clothing!) Shoes- New Look Choker - I'm terrible and I can't remember! (Everything is from last season so I can't find them to link the exact items) So what sort of posts ...
